This sculpture, located in the Perol Courtyard in Casa Ortega from the architect Luis Barragan, reflects the fenestration of the courtyard itself and illustrates how changes in light that occur naturally throughout the day can affect the appearance of the garden. Composed of 12 Ketra luminaires and moderated by the Athena lighting control system, this courtyard structure transforms with light and the sensation of movement during a 20-minute performance that cycles through various color temperatures of white light and shades of red and orange reminiscent of sunset, before culminating in a deep blue, reminiscent of night.
“A dialogue with time, through the windows, as a fixed movement. The window is created as a space, a container of time, with its movements, intensities and colors, flooding the room with unpredictable moments. Light phenomena interact in the void between the sale and the presence of the built context.”
